Select People Solutions is working with a local construction company to find an experienced Foreman / Journeyman Carpenter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled tradesperson who enjoys being hands-on while taking the lead on site, coordinating crews, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Compensation & Hours: 

•    The rate of pay will be $38-40/hr

•    Monday through Friday, daytime hours

Position Summary: 

•    Lead and coordinate daily activities of carpenters, laborers, and other site personnel

•    Work alongside the crew while providing direction, support, and troubleshooting on site

•    Read and interpret drawings, specifications, and project plans to ensure accurate execution

•    Coordinate materials, equipment, manpower, and site priorities to keep projects on schedule

•    Monitor workmanship, productivity, and safety while addressing issues as they arise

•    Communicate effectively with project management, subcontractors, clients, and other trades

Required Qualifications: 

•    Journeyman Carpenter certification

•    Strong knowledge of carpentry, construction methods, tools, materials, and jobsite practices

•    Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications

•    Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

•    Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with reliable transportation and clean driving abstract

•    Commercial construction experience

Bonus Points For: 

•    Previous experience in a Foreman, Lead Hand, or similar construction leadership role
